Come see what Princenhage looked like around 1900. And see what buildings were there then that have since disappeared, such as the Maria Monastery, the Patronage building, the house of ‘Uncle Cent’, the Princenhage train station. Even an entire street -the cozy Kerkstraotje- went up in smoke.
The foundation Virtueel Princenhage brings these buildings back to life in virtual animations.
This includes the largest castle that Breda has ever known that stood on Princenhage soil, the castle ‘op de Emer’. The last lord of the castle, Matthieu Versluis, tells about the demise of the castle and refutes the many gossips that circulated about him in the 19th century.
And who exactly was this mysterious widow who lived on the Princenhaag estate of Zuylen 500 years ago? The latest results of our research on this woman come along.

Continuous animated film of about 45 minutes.
