About the Location
The fact that boys’ dreams sometimes come true is evident in the creation of De Beyerd Brewery. With this, De Beyerd restored a piece of Breda’s lost tradition in 2004. Where the “De Drie Hoefijzers” brewery was founded on Boschstraat in 1628, the art of brewing has returned to the street nearly 400 years later. “Drie Hoefijzers Klassiek” is, therefore, the first beer brewed here according to the original recipe. The copper brewing kettles and open fermentation tanks give both the brewery and the adjoining restaurant a uniquely nostalgic atmosphere. During Breda’s Open Monument Days, step inside a piece of authentic Breda history. As the oldest and still-operating brewery in our city, you can feel the passion born of 188 years of craftsmanship.
Dive into the rich history of this special family business and the iconic brewery.
