As a building, St. Francis Church does not make an overwhelming impression. Some say the place of worship resembles a gymnasium or sports canteen, and others call it “the shoebox. But who knows, maybe the church will become a monument after all, as one of the few remaining examples of a church from the 1960-1970 period. Since 2025, part of this building has been transformed into the Bieb Hoge Vucht, an important meeting space for the neighborhood.
